Cleveland, TN—Saturday morning I met my cousin at IHOP for breakfast to try their new advertised chicken and waffles. It was pretty good.

After breakfast, I ran errands so I would not have to leave my home anytime Sunday unless I really wanted to.

Once home, I binge watched Prime Video for the rest of the day.

On Sunday, I only went outside to pot the chrysanthemums that I bought at a my local fresh produce market. I then cleaned out a bookcase and again binge watched On Demands throughout the day.

Cleveland, TN—Friday night I recorded an episode of my podcast, Saturday I got my hair cut, and Sunday we went to get my son’s soccer gear for his first practice tonight. The rest of the time I was reading.

Denison, IA—Over the weekend I went to Boone, Iowa, for super nationals and then on Sunday we came home and spent time with our 1-year-old daughter. It was a very fun weekend.

Higgins Lake, MI—This past weekend I was in a golf outing with my husband, Scott, his cousin George and George's wife, Lynn. It's called The Grasshopper up at Higgins Lake, Michigan. Out of 12 teams, our team ended up in second place after a tiebreaker chip-and-putt challenge. This golf outing has been a family tradition for more than 75 years.

Madison, AL—This past weekend, my small family of three went biking around the Huntsville/Madison, Alabama, area. Since moving here two years ago, we've enjoyed taking advantage of the beautiful landscape, from time to time with long bike rides through the mountains.

I learned two very important things this weekend. #1: I am VERY out of shape and #2: Spending quality time, especially through outside activities with your family, is a great way to connect after a long and busy week. Making time with your family is so important and creating healthy habits with them is equally important. A healthy work/life balance is so important for your own well-being and for the well-being of those you love. Making lasting memories is what life's about.
